What is Salvation?

Salvation is God's plan to provide man an escape from the consequences of sin. Being saved or born-again is the most important experience in your life. John 3:3, 15, 16 ". . .I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again." "...that everyone who believes in me has eternal life. For God so love the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish, but have eternal life."

We read in Romans 10:9-10 “If you confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe . . . and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved."

What Salvation is Not

Salvation is not any of the things that most people think or have been taught such as confirmation, church membership, water baptism, taking communion, observing religious duties, going to church, saying prayers, reading the Bible, memorizing creeds, nor doing good deeds.

To be saved you must do as Jesus shared with Nicodemus in John 3:1-18. In verse 5, Jesus answered Nicodemus' question: how can a man be born again when he is old? To which Jesus replied, "I tell the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit." In Romans 10: 9-10 it reads "That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord." and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved." When we receive Jesus as Lord, all that He is becomes ours. Salvation is for everyone, it's FREE and YOU can have it NOW.

How Do I Get Saved?

God loves you. He wants you to be whole and complete (saved) spiritually, emotionally, physically, mentally, financially and socially.

Pray this prayer, mean it and YOU will be SAVED - COMPLETE. "Father in heaven, thank you for sending your Son, Jesus, to die on the cross for me, and for His blood that was shed to redeem me and to cleanse me from my sins. Lord, I am sorry and I repent of my sins. Forgive me. I understand that I must change the course of my life. I am determined in my heart to follow you. I invite you to become the Lord of my life from this point forward, forever. I openly proclaim and confess that You are the Lord of my life. I believe in my heart that you have been raised from the dead. Therefore I am saved. I am a new creature. The old things have passed. All things become new. I am a child of God! In the name of Jesus, AMEN!"

Congratulations! Your sins are forgiven, you are a member of God's family, you have peace with God and access to Him and the Holy Spirit dwells within you.

What's Next?

Set aside some quiet time for you to read the Word and prayer.

Begin reading the book of John as you begin your new walk with the Lord.

Get involved in your church by going to a Bible study, Sunday school class and church services.

WE BELIEVE IN...

1. A Ministry of Grace: You cannot earn God's acceptance and love. He loves you now and accepts you forever through faith in Jesus Christ. We do not focus on guilt to motivate our members, but encourage them to live good lives from a motivation of love and gratitude because of what God has already done for us.

2. A Christian Self-Image: You can and should have a healthy adn positive self-image, not because of who you are or what you have done, but because of who you are in Christ and what God has done for you in Christ.

3. Biblical Preaching and Teaching: We have an authoritative spiritual guide in the Bible, the Word of God. What the Bible teaches takes precedence over church traditions or human opinions. The Bible has the guidance we need to direct our lives in any and all areas.

4. Sharing a Contemporary Christian Message: We share the "old, old sotry" in new, practical, relevant, and exciting ways. The message, music, and worship are such that they will speak to any person on their spiritual journey.

5. Every Christian is a Minister: Every Christian possesses gifts and talents. We expect every Christian to find their gifts and use them to build up the Body of Christ. Christians will find significance and purpose in life as they discover their ministries.
