AWANA
What is awana? It stands for Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed 2 Timothy 2:15.
Awana is a non-denominational program designed to reach kids with the gospel of Christ. All kids preschool through 8th grade are welcome to attend.
We begin each Wednesday right after school with snacks. The kids learn upbeat Christian music. Engage in a high engery game time (the kids favorite part of the day!). We have small group times where the kids learn from the Bible and recite scripture they have learned. The kids can earn awards and prizes.
There is no fee. We take a free-will offering each week that we use 100% for mission projects. Last year we donated to flood victims, earthquake areas, audio Bibles for oversesas, and more.
Why do we meet on Wednesday afternoons? Because God told me to. And because this the best time to reach kids.
